Bell Canada and Toronto's Cohere announced a sovereign AI infrastructure agreement on June 18, 2026, under which Cohere will operate its enterprise AI models through Bell AI Fabric at Bell's Merritt, BC data centre - with Buzz HPC delivering the AI cloud layer and Hypertec supplying the Nvidia-powered hardware cluster. The deal arrives days after the Anthropic export control proved that Canadian organizations depending on US-hosted AI platforms have no protection against foreign government access decisions.
